I write the kind of stories you might once have found in a beat‑up copy of True Detective. But as much as I love that old, exploitative style, I’m also interested in what’s going on underneath—the fears, grudges and strange logic that push people over the line. You might say all of my books focus on extreme behavior.

 

I’ve picked up some awards along the way, landed on a few 10‑best lists, and even been praised in the Times of London.
